Amarillo, TX, Aug. 17, 2016 – The Cottages at Quail Creek is pleased to announce the completion of its recent major renovation project. With all-new kitchens and bathrooms, the Amarillo residences offer a home-like atmosphere and individualized, expert care for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders. The Cottages at Quail Creek is a fully licensed, 32-bed assisted living facility, with Alzheimer’s Care Certification by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.

“Since we first opened in 1998, The Cottages at Quail Creek has been dedicated to providing residents with a clean, comfortable and contemporary home-like environment,” says Trent Quinn, founder, president and CEO of The Cottages. “It was time for enhancements to ensure the continuing comfort of our residents and their families. The results are simply stunning.”

“We updated everything,” says Quinn, “From the furnishings and flooring to the lighting, oil paintings, landscaping and exterior paint, the entire campus was given a facelift to meet luxury standards. We did all of this to ensure our residents and their families enjoy the very best surroundings as they take advantage of the expertise in care we deliver.”

The 6811 Plum Creek Drive facility has undergone extensive renovations over the past few months. With the recent completion of phase two (new bathrooms and kitchens), the home has received a whole new, updated look. To show off its new look, The Cottages at Quail Creek is now offering tours daily.

The Cottages at Quail Creek is also pleased to announce our new executive director, Margaret Parrish. Her passion is working with seniors living with physical or cognitive impairments that might make it difficult for them to remain home alone or for their families to provide care. “I am extremely proud to work for a community that specializes only in the care of dementia and Alzheimer’s,” says Parrish, “Our caregivers are specifically trained to work with cognitively impaired individuals and our care is overseen by licensed nurses.”

“It is simply our mission to provide families with a comfortable, caring answer to their loved ones needs in an environment that is as close to home as possible,” says Quinn. “Our residents enjoy access to 24-hour care provided by highly qualified staff, meals, specialized activities, medicine supervision and everything else they require to live life to the fullest.”

Alzheimer’s is a degenerative disease affecting the brain that results in memory loss, behavioral changes and reduction in language and speech skills. According to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, it is estimated that more than 5 million Americans suffer from the disease today. The incidence of Alzheimer’s disease is rising in line with the aging population, which means that it will more than double in the next 30 years as the next generation ages.
