Maryjane Kesler

Maryjane Kesler, an 11-year Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), joined the The Cottages Senior Living team in June 2009 and is currently Executive Director at The Cottages at Chandler Creek. Maryjane loves her role, and she will tell you, nursing will always be my first love. Her love and compassion for the residents at The Cottages comes very natural due to her background in nursing. Prior to joining The Cottages she worked with a Family Practice doctor in Pflugerville, Texas, right outside of Austin. She moved to Reno, Nevada in 2007 and spent two years at a rehabilitation and skilled nursing unit for a renowned local hospital. She was nominated for Northern Nevada Nurse of Achievement Award in 2009 for her care of the elderly.

Maryjane is on the Board of Directors for the Assisted Living Advisory Board of Hospice Austin. Maryjane hosts a monthly Family Support Group at The Cottages in Chandler Creek. Another one of Maryjane’s passions is volunteering. She volunteers her time at church with adult ministries that support families who are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s. She supports the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk and is actively promoting the cause with anyone she comes in contact with.

Being with The Cottages Senior Living team has given Maryjane an opportunity to practice her strong leadership abilities; and, at the same time to express her love and passion for nursing – specifically her love of the residents at The Cottages of Chandler Creek.

Outside of her role at The Cottages at Chandler Creek, Maryjane is proud to be a deacon at Round Rock Presbyterian Church.
