Lynda Canas
Vice President of Operations
Lynda Canas has more than 20 years’ experience in long term care including the management of nursing homes, home health care agencies and assisted living facilities. From 2005-2006, Lynda was the Executive Director for The Cottages at Clear Lake and the Corporate Director of Quality Assurance for The Cottages Senior Living. In 2006, she was promoted to Vice President of Operations for The Cottages Senior Living.
Prior to joining The Cottages, Lynda worked for American Retirement Corporation (ARC) as Executive Director overseeing multiple buildings including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Alzheimer’s Care Facilities.
Lynda has the honor to serve on the Board of Directors for the Texas Assisted Living Association (TALA) where she chairs the Government Relations Committee. Lynda is a facilitator for the local Alzheimer’s Association support group, and holds a BA in Business Administration from Columbus University. She is a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and a Certified Assisted Living Manager.
